COCOA FARMERS OF SAMBAN

Tucked deep in the Angoram wetlands, the village of Samban stands just above the waterline. These young cocoa farmers have taught themselves online, each lesson an act of independence. Wit​​​​​​​hout waiting for assistance, they draw from their resilience and their dreams to build a future of their own. Using a hybrid approach that blends a German cocoa variety with a local clone and planting on slightly raised land, they adapt to their environment and attempt to grow something that can last.
